Bostik League North club Norwich United have announced that joint leading goalscorer Liam Jackson has agreed terms on a new contract that will keep him at Plantation Park until the end of the 2019/20 season.
Manager Steve Eastaugh was delighted to get Jackson signed up, telling the club`s official Pitchero website: “Liam has progressed really well since making the monumental step up five divisions eighteen months ago. We have been patient with him and we now reap the rewards of his hard work with 17 goals already this season. Liam thoroughly deserves his new contract and we look forward to helping him with his next phase of development.”
Jackson joined from Anglian Combination First Division side North Walsham Town at the start of the 2016/17 season, making thirty-four appearances – twenty-four of them from the bench – scoring 7 goals.
This season has seen the 20-year-old striker force his way into the team, starting in twenty-three of his thirty appearances.
His four-goal haul against Canvey Island won him the Bostik League North performance of the month award for December.
