Evo-Stik League Premier club Whitby Town have signed midfielder Connor Smith on loan for a second time.
This time the 21-year-old moves to the Turnbull Ground for a month from Vanarama National League North side York City, who he joined in the summer.
The Stockton-born winger moved to the Minstermen from Hartlepool United following their relegation to the National League.
Smith had been on Pool’s books from under-12 level and made his senior debut at the age of 17 against Exeter City in May 2013.
In total, Smith has made nineteen appearances – but only six from the start – for the Victoria Ground club and went on loan to Whitby last term, making five appearances, having been restricted to just two substitute outings for Pools in 2016/17, and ended the season on loan with Spennymoor Town, helping them to promotion to the National League North.
Smith is eligible to be in the Seasiders squad for Saturday’s Buildbase FA Trophy game against league rivals Marine AFC.
