Southport Take Young Cod Army Defender On Loan

Vanarama National League North club Southport have taken defender Nathan Sheron on a month`s loan from SkyBet League One neighbours Fleetwood Town.

Twenty-year-old Sheron joined the Cod Army in June 2016 from Liverpool’s youth academy.

He started his career playing for his local team before joining Liverpool whilst at the under-9 level.

The defender, who was born in the Cape Verde Islands and joined Fleetwood at the age of 17, was on loan with National League North side Chorley for the second half of last season, making five appearances.

And he spent a month with National League outfit Chester FC earlier this season, making three appearances.
