Midland League Premier Division club Bromsgrove Sporting striker Jason Cowley has turned down a chance to speak with Nuneaton Town.

This comes after the chairman of the Vanarama National League North outfit, Lee Thorn, and manager Dino Maamria, both contacted Rouslers manager Paul Smith regarding the players ability.

Cowley told the club`s official website: “I am extremely flattered by the interest and I thank Nuneaton for it, but at this crucial time of the season, I want to finish the job we have started.

“I owe it to the fans, the boys and the gaffer to try and achieve our goals for the season.

Smith commented: “Jason is a top player and an even better lad so Nuneaton’s interest doesn’t surprise me.

“I firmly believe Jason will go onto play at a very good level of football. He has all the tools.

“Equally though, his commitment to us shows what sort of lad he is. We are lucky to have him.

“Hopefully, together we will achieve our goals this season”.
