Goalkeeper Jack Walton has joined Evo-Stik League Premier club Stalybridge Celtic on loan from SkyBet Championship side Barnsley to gain some vital first-team football.

The 19-year-old academy graduate has gained experience in and around the first team by going on the pre-season trip to Budapest this summer, before playing the full first-team match at Guiseley AFC in a friendly.

He now joins a club he has been at before on-loan in 2016 and will link up with former under-23 team-mate, Jake Charles.

Stalybridge have also welcomed back 2014 young player of the year, Oliver Crowley.

Crowley, now 21, started the season with Vanarama National League North side FC United of Manchester but before that was playing in America with New Orleans Jesters.

He is available for selection today against Coalville Town.
