Three In – One Out At Mossley

Evo-Stik League North club Mossley AFC`s joint bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison have brought in three players with the signing deadline looming.

With goalkeeper Jony Diba-Musangu struggling with the recurrence of an ankle injury, the Lilywhites have brought in 19-year-old Max Povey on dual registration forms with Vanarama National League side AFC Fylde.

Povey is a former Everton and Morecambe youth player who helped Everton’s juniors win the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland in 2013.

Two players have arrived on loan from National League North outfit FC United of Manchester in attacking midfielder Tyrell Palmer and defensive midfielder Mike Jones.

Palmer, 20, is a former Bolton Wanderers trainee who FC United signed from local side Moston United who share FC United’s Broadhurst Park facilities.

He has made sixteen first-team appearances for FC United this season.

Nineteen-year-old Jones has made seventeen first-team appearances for the Red Rebels this season after graduating through the club’s youth academy.

Defensive midfielder Mohamud Ali, meanwhile, has departed from Seel Park and signed for Tameside neighbours and league rivals Droylsden.
