Evo-Stik League North leaders Hyde United have taken young midfielder Adam Etches on loan from Vanarama National League North neighbours Stockport County until the end of the season.

Nineteen-year-old Etches made his breakthrough into the County first-team having stormed through the academy route under the guidance of Alan Lord.

His debut came in an end-of-season draw with Curzon Ashton in front of nearly 4,000 fans at Edgeley Park.

He has impressed everyone at the club, and performances earned him his first contract until May 2019.

Etches is an attacking midfielder who can play on either flank or in the ‘number ten’ role just behind a central striker.

Etches spent a month on loan with Evo-Stik League Premier side Matlock Town earlier this season.
