In a big clash toward the top of the Toolstation Western League Premier Division table, Bradford Town picked up the three points, thanks to a 3-1 win over Willand Rovers on Saturday.

Town were ahead at the break thanks to Will Haliston’s solo effort, and the home team then doubled their advantage from the spot, when Matty Morris dusted himself down after being upended to convert the spot-kick.

Karim Rendall added a late third for Bradford, before Ryan Guppy struck a consolation goal for Willand with 30 seconds left on the clock.

At Norton Lane, Cadbury Heath picked up a vital 3-2 victory away at Hengrove Athletic.

After Simon McElroy had struck the only goal of the opening half to put the visitors ahead, Sacha Tong headed home 90 seconds after the break to double Heath’s advantage.

Hengrove’s Asa White then scored for the first time since returning to the club after a spell at Odd Down to get the home side back into the game. However, Heath found their way through once more, with Tong restoring their two-goal advantage, before Brandon Feehely struck a late consolation for the hosts.

Longwell Green Sports’ late season revival continued away at Odd Down, where goals either side of the interval from Ben Allen and Ross Beazer led the bottom side to a 2-0 triumph.

First Division action got underway on Friday evening, and Roman Glass St George piled pressure on their promotion rivals after goals either side of the break from Rhys Hodgson and Jordan Yeo led them to a 2-0 win away at Wincanton Town.

The top two both grabbed the three points on offer to sustain their advantage over Roman Glass, however, with Adey Harvey and Matt Brown each scoring after the break during Keynsham Town’s 2-0 win at home to Sherborne Town.

Radstock Town moved up to fifth in the table after the returning Morgan Skipp scored the only goal during their 1-0 win over Ashton & Backwell United at the Lancer Scott Stadium.

In a battle between seventeenth and eighteenth, Almondsbury came from behind to defeat Corsham Town 2-1.

After Adam Mitchell slotted home a Leigh Rogers cross to put the visitors ahead, Almondsbury hit back, with goals from Keelan Mastouras and Lewis Sheppard handing them all three points.

Portishead Town produced one of their best performances of the season to defeat Cheddar 1-0, with Dan Elson heading the winner during the second-half.

At Lakeview, Bishop Sutton came from behind to defeat Oldland Abbotonians 4-2, with debutant Oaklan Buck’s goalscoring double inspiring the home side to victory.
