Evo-Stik League South West club Winchester City announced two new signings ahead of their 2-0 win against Didcot Town on Saturday.

Joe Sowden, a combative midfielder, joins City from Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division side Camberley Town.

Formerly with Badshot Lea and Fleet Town, the 27-year-old has also spent time playing in New Zealand for Hawke`s Bay.

Adam Brice, a very experienced centre-half, arrives from Evo-Stik League South Premier neighbours Gosport Borough.

Brice was a second-year scholar at Aldershot Town and was the captain of their youth team.

He had been with The Shots since 2002, although his 2011/12 season was interrupted by a broken leg.

Brice’s first involvement in the Aldershot senior team came as an unused substitute at Northampton Town a few days before Christmas 2012.

Brice then moved on to Woking and was dual-registered with Kingstonian in March 2014.

He was Woking academy manager’s player of the year for 2013/14 and then
signed for Farnborough towards the end of August 2014 before moving to Gosport in the summer of 2015.
