Evo-Stik League Premier club Shaw Lane AFC have made two new signings ahead of our Thursday night`s match against Stalybridge Celtic.

A familiar face returns with Dominic Brown-Hill joining from SkyBet League Two side Notts County.

Supporters who travel with the club may remember the 18-year-old for his brief loan spell earlier this season where he started in three successive away matches.

Having made his debut in the defeat at Lancaster City in September, Brown-Hill then impressed in the victories over Whitby Town and in the Emirates FA Cup at Blyth Spartans. Further appearances were then hampered by injury.

The young midfielder has represented Scotland to under-16 level and was with Leicester City before his move to Notts County.

The second signing joins from the Philadelphia Fury of the American Soccer League.

Adam Knight, 23, and originally from Wakefield, is a NAIA National Champion with Hastings College.

The midfielder was part of the number one ranked college ‘soccer’ team in America before signing a professional contract with Fury.

Before moving to the USA, he spent time at Leeds United academy and a season with Nostel Miners Welfare in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League in 2012/13.

Head of football operations Doug O’Connor told the club`s Pitchero website: “Firstly, we welcome Dominic and Adam to Shaw Lane. We’ve been lining up these signings for a while and we hope to make more very soon.

“We’re going to be need some extra quality players on board to help us with the heavy schedule in the next two months and Dominic and Adam will do just that”.
