After an impressive start to the season, Andrew Wright has signed a contract with Evo-Stik League Premier club Grantham Town until the end of the season.
Wright had a month’s loan with Grantham last season from Lincoln City and also went on loan to Matlock Town before signing for the Gingerbreads on a more permanent basis in the summer.
He came through the Lincoln City youth system before earning a professional contract with them.
The midfielder was delighted with being made the offer, telling the club`s official Pitchero website: “I’m loving my time here, we’re a really great group. Everything is perfect at the moment.”
Supporters will have noticed how much Wright celebrates whenever the Gingerbreads score: “Football is all about winning and to that we have to score. Whoever it is who scores, I’m going to enjoy it!”
Gingerbreads manager Adam Stevens was also delighted to get the contract signed: “We’ve been discussing it for a few weeks, and to get it sealed ahead of the busy Christmas period is an additional boost to everyone”.
