Ossett Town boss Grant Black says he can’t wait for their pre-season action to start and the league campaign to begin writes Tom Feaheny.
Last season they narrowly missed out on promotion from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One North after losing to Farsley Celtic in the play-off final.
Black’s side start playing on Saturday 15th against Retford United in their first pre-season game. Speaking to the club’s website on how pre-season has gone so far he said.
“It is going great; the lads have come back fit and strong and are working really hard to push themselves. They want get in that team on 12 August”.
New arrivals Kai Hancock, Curtley Martin-Wyatt and Alex Low have joined the vast majority of last season’s side. Black is pleased with the business they have got done.
“The new faces have settled very quickly and we have a few deals to tie up with players who are going to be real good signings for this club; to go along with what we already have.
“I cannot wait for the season to get under way, we are keeping everything in house, no photographs, video’s or anything unnecessary. The lads are working hard and that is all people need to know”.
Meanwhile Ossett Town now know who they will face in the FA competitions.
