Leicester Road Attacker Receives Punjab Call-Up

Midland League club Leicester Road’s Amavir Sandhu gets another call up to represent the Punjab.

Sandhu, a gifted left-sided attacking player, seems to be taking international football in his stride after he received another call up to represent the Punjab against Jersey on Sunday, 23rd April and England C on Sunday, 28th May at Kidderminster Harriers` Aggborough.

Sandhu captained the Punjab throughout last season during their 2016 CONIFA World Cup campaign.

The Panjab FA achieved national football team status in September 2014 under CONIFA, this achievement allows the Panjab national team to compete on the international football stage.
