Hednesford Town have agreed to mutually terminate striker Vinny Mukendi`s contract with the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club.

Mukendi, who represented the Democratic Republic of Congo at under-19 level, arrived at Keys Park from Vanarama National League outfit North Ferriby United in December.

The 24-year-old began his career with Macclesfield Town in 2008, and has plenty of experience in non-League football, having also played for the likes of Barrow AFC, Southport and Oxford City.

Manager Gary Birch said: “Vinny has struggled in recent weeks with the travelling aspect, with him living in Manchester and unable to drive. He has found the travelling by train on his own three times a week too much as he used to commute with fellow players that are no longer at the club.

“Although we are disappointed, Vinny leaves with our best wishes for the future and we thank him for his services”.
