Following the recent review relating to the future direction of North West Counties League Premier Division club….

…..Glossop North End, the Directors have announced the appointment of Paul Williams and Garry Brown to the position of joint-managers.

A statement from the club who parted company with first-team manager Paul Colgan and youth development officer Lol McMahon earlier this week, read: “Supporters will know Paul and Garry from their existing roles within the club and we are sure that everyone will join with us in welcoming them to their new roles.

“Paul and Garry will continue to work closely with our highly-respected physiotherapist Stacey Webster to ensure that the football club continues to develop on the field alongside all of the other activities expected of a club of the nature of Glossop North End.

“To assist in this task the club is pleased to announce that Francis Egan has joined the football management team. Fran is a UEFA `B` qualified coach, holds FA qualifications in football psychology and has a deep and wide knowledge of the local football scene.

“This allows Fran to work within football management teams to help to maximise the contribution of individuals to the overall team effort. Fran will also take on the role of goalkeeper coach following the recent departure of Kevin Jelley. We welcome Fran to the GNE family and trust that he will enjoy his time with us.”
