....celebrate 125 years of football in the town, after club historian Allan Jones unearthed match reports dating back to 1886.
The club are planning to commemorate this significant landmark in a number of different ways which include: - an exhibition of club memorabilia in the town's Heritage Centre which will coincide with the New Mills Festival in early September - the publication of a book which will give a unique pictorial insight into the fascinating story of the Club over the years - a grand reunion of former players, officials and supporters which will take place at New Mills Town Hall in mid-October - a series of prestigious pre-season friendly matches Jones commented: "It is a double celebration really, because we moved into our current ground, Church Lane, ninety years ago in September. "To help make these events a success, we are always on the lookout for old programmes, photos and press cuttings and would love to hear from people with any of these as well as any former players and officials of the club.
"Together, we can make this a very special year to remember in the history of New Mills AFC."
