The much-sought after Skelmersdale United attacker has attracted a great deal of interest with Watson bidding to sign the Chorley-based player twelve months ago.
This time the Port boss has cracked it - signing Almond on a two-year deal.
Watson said on his most recent capture: "Chris is a versatile attacking player. He can operate down either flank or as a central striker.
“Chris has been watched by a number of Football League clubs and I feel fortunate to have signed him. He is pacey and has a proven goalscoring record which I believe he can replicate at our level.
“I have said we need quality players signed this summer and Chris fits the bill. I have targets in mind in the next couple of weeks."
