With the title race in the Evo-Stik League South all-but over, teams are looking for the second automatic spot and play-off positions.

Alvechurch moved into second place after winning 2-1 at Lye Meadow against Gresley FC.

Luke Yates gave the league new boys an 11th minute lead.

But an Aaron Lloyd own goal in the 76th minute looked like earning the struggling Moatmen a vital point, until Ryan Winwood popped up with a last-minute winner for `Church.

The team who started the evening in second, Frickley Athletic, were leading 2-0 in their game at Spalding United when the game was abandoned after 82 minutes because of a serious injury to the Tulips` Jonny Lockie.

Bedworth United could have one above Frickley with a win at Harrison Park against fellow play-off chasers Leek Town.

But it was the hosts who moved into the top six with a 3-0 victory.

Dan Trickett-Smith put the home side in front after 13 minutes and then Jordan Johnson after 54 minutes and Trickett-Smith again 20 minutes later settled the matter.

Loughborough Dynamo won 2-1 at Peterborough Sports in the evening`s other game.

Ali Smith had the visitors in front after less than 4 minutes.

Tolani Omotola doubled that 6 minutes after the break and Jordan Macleod replied 17 minutes from time, but Sports couldn`t find a leveller.
