....signings to five after landing 19-year-old Conor Higginson from Blue Square Premier Mansfield Town.
General manager Ian Whitehorne said: “We have been trailing Conor for two years.
“He spent last season on loan at Glapwell, scoring twenty-three goals. He is a clever, lively forward with an eye for a goal; we’re delighted to have him on board.”
Higginson, join other newcomers full-back Jack Barnett, striker Shane Kelsey, midfielder Charlie Weir and central defender Matt Varley.
Club have a friendly against Worksop Town at Dronfield tonight.
Shaw commented; “I’m hoping that Worksop will give us the most realistic test to the top level of football. It will be a very difficult game but that’s what we want.”
