.....United Counties League Premier Division club Spalding United.
Teenager Joyce left London Road recently after not earning a professional contract following a youth scholarship.
The locally-based player has had plenty of offers from the non-League scene and has opted to sign a two-year contract with the Tulips, who are favourites for the UCL Premier Division title next season.
Spalding boss Pat Rayment said: “I’ve spoken to a lot of people at Posh who feel Jacob could still make the grade professionally so it ranks as a big, big signing for us.”
Joyce, who has had spells out on loan with Blue Square Bet North sides Boston United and Hinckley United, will join Francis Green and Shane Tolley in a strike force made up entirely of past Peterborough players at the Sir Halley Stewart Field.
Another Spalding striker signing this summer, Ashley Stevens, also spent time in the Posh youth set-up.
