The club, which is currently in the bottom half of the table, is looking for a successful business-minded individual to be the figure head for their club.

A spokesperson for the club said: “Not having a chairman takes its toll upon any football team, but we at Arlesey have dealt with the change extremely well.

“However, we are still looking for an individual to be the key figure at our community club.”

The previous chairman’s departure was a shock to most at the club as the Blues had just completed their most successful season ever by winning a treble of trophies, including the Southern League Division One Central Division championship and both the Bedfordshire FA’s Senior and Premier Cups.
