.....decision to step away from football for the forseeable future with immediate effect, citing increased worked commitments together with a need to spend more time with his young family.
Brakes` manager Paul Holleran said: “Family and work has to come first and I've known for some time that Lee was struggling with his commitments away from football. He has looked at things in pre-season and decided he cannot make the necessary commitment needed for the football.
“He has been a player, coach and assistant for me and we've had a great working relationship during that time. It's sad that he is stepping away from football for the present but he is doing it for the right reasons. I've wished him all the best and hope to see him back in football if and when his commitments allow.”
Chairman Jim Scott said: “Lee rang me today and thanked everyone at the club for their support these past three years. He said he has hugely enjoyed his time with us and wished the club a successful future. I understand his reasons and he will always be a welcome visitor at the NWG. He has made a big impact in his time at the club. I wish him well.”
