....Hednesford Town 5-0 at the Horsfall Stadium, while FC United of Manchester beat Chorley 2-0 in front of a fantastic crowd of 2,754 at Victory Park.
Although only 609 were at the Horsfall Stadium, they saw Avenue power to the final with Richard Marshall`s penalty after 26 minutes giving them the lead.
Adam Clayton doubled the home side`s advantage 4 minutes before the break and then Martin Drury after 63 minutes, James Knowles 15 minutes from time and Marshall again in the 89th minute sealed a comfortable win for John Deacey`s men.
It wasn`t quite so comprehensive at Chorley however.
Michael Norton eventually broke the deadlock by putting FC United ahead after 63 minutes.
And then 11 minutes from time Astley Mulholland made sure for the visitors with a second.
Avenue will have home advantage in next Saturday`s final, but somehow it seems destiny that FC United, who actually finished sixth and only made the play-offs due to Northwich Victoria`s problems, will make the Blue Square Bet North!
