Wakefield, 18, was part of Doncaster`s Youth Alliance Cup-winning team in 2012, winning 4-0 over Exeter City in Devon.

He signed a one-year professional contract with Rovers in April, making his first appearance coming on as a substitute in extra-time in a Capital Cup game against York City earlier this month at the Keepmoat Stadium.
