Baldock to Groundshare With Hitchin

.....club Hitchin Town’s Top Field from the start of the 2012/13 season.

Baldock have agreed an initial two-year deal that will see them play all first-team fixtures at Top Field, with their reserve side remaining at the North Herts Arena in Baldock.

Newly-elected Baldock Town chairman Graham Kingham said: "As the newly-elected chairman of Baldock Town Football Club, I wish to put the disappointments of last season firmly behind us and thank Steve West for all his hard work over many years. However, with the full support of the committee we will strive to take this great club to the next level and beyond in the coming years. To this end we have had to take the hardest of decisions and move out of the town to fulfil our ambitions and seek a groundshare agreement." Kingham added: "Having already worked closely with Hitchin Town last season at the Arena in Baldock we were pleased to be offered the chance to play at Top Field, which we have duly accepted. This move will further enhance our working relationship with Hitchin Town as our reserves will continue to play at the Arena and I for one cannot wait for the start of the season."

Hitchin Town chairman Terry Barratt said: "We look forward to welcoming Baldock to Top Field. We are genuinely pleased that the reformed club has built very healthy momentum since 2003 and we hope that by playing at Hitchin, they can take their club to the next level. We also hope that some of our own fans will watch Baldock when we are playing away."
