Banbury Through to Cup Final

....League Premier Division side Cogenhoe United in the Buckingham Charity Cup final after 5-3 aggregate win over UCL Division One outfit Buckingham Town on Tuesday night.

With Banbury leading 3-1 from the first leg, it was always going to be an uphill task for Buckingham to overturn that deficit and reach the final. However, they got off to the best of starts when taking the lead through Nick Bines after just 5 minutes.

United though equalised just 5 minutes later through Dior Angus before Joe Eyre gave them a 2-1 lead on the night 4 minutes before half-time.

Nick Bines scored his second of the night 8 minutes into the second half and Buckingham had plenty of chances in the remainder of the half but failed to convert any of them so the final score on the night was 2-2, with Banbury winning 5-3 on aggregate.

The final against Cogenhoe will be played at Buckingham Athletic's ground on Bank Holiday Monday, 7th May with a 6pm kick-off.
