Hallmark Security League Premier Division club Barnton have announced that they have passed their ground grading inspection, Townfield achieving Grade F in the process.

The confirmation caps off a remarkable turnaround for the club off the field.

Worked kicked off in January and, despite storm Doris playing her part, the volunteers were able to complete the work in good time.

Manager Steve Lloyd was delighted with the news: “We are all delighted to have passed the inspection, the work undertaken has been significant but the result is one everybody can be proud of.

“This was very much a team effort and without the help of volunteers we would have been up against it. A special thank you to James of Spencer Weston who has supported us throughout, a classic case of a local business supporting their local football club.”

The club are now set to kick-on, on and off the field.
