Barrow Town Confirm Management Team
Paul Yeomans

Whilst it was announced earlier this summer that Adam Beazeley and John Folwell would remain at the helm of the first-team, it has been agreed that Steve Alexander will return to his role of general manager – overseeing both the first and reserve team structures.

Alexander will step away from his day to day involvement with the reserve team, which means that Mark Reeves will assume full control with immediate effect in conjunction with his current under-18 management role.

Reeves will be assisted by Mike McDonald and Craig Dawson as player-coach, who returns to the club after a short spell with Ellistown.

The reserve team structure will have a more youthful look to the side this season as the club looks to develop and bring through players from its successful junior section in to the senior side.

The decision is already bearing fruit, as the second half of Saturday`s first-team fixture against Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division side Cottesmore Amateurs was played by the under-18’s who more than matched their opponents, whilst 17-year-old goalkeeper Ryan Thacker played the full 90 minutes – keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Disappointingly, however, it would appear that popular goalkeeping coach Paul Yeomans will be leaving the club.

Yeomans, who hails and travels from the Birmingham area, is unable to commit to the club this season due to a change in his work commitments and therefore looks likely to depart.

The club will seek to appoint a new goalkeeping coach before the start of the season.
