Barnstaple Town made it four games without defeat to move eleven points clear of the drop zone in the Evo-Stik League South West on Tuesday night.
Barum won 2-1 at Paulton Rovers with goals from Billy Hopcroft after 7 minutes and Niall Heeney after 34 minutes – Sam Hedges having equalised in the 25th minute.
The only other game to survive the wet was at nearby Yate Town, who moved up to twelfth in the table after a 3-1 win at The Jelf Stadium against Larkhall Athletic.
The visitors took a 10th minute lead through Joe Tumelty.
But two goals in 2 minutes from Steve Davies and Ross Langworthy gave the Bluebells an interval lead.
Nick Peare eventually added a third in the 3rd minute of stoppage time.
