Benjamin Increases Attacking Options

...ahead of their Zamaretto League Division One Central relegation battle at Beaconsfield SYCOB.

The forward, who can play on either flank and as a central striker, was part of the club’s under-18s set-up last season before heading to university.

"He’s got explosive pace and can score goals," said Benjamin. "I think he’ll be a decent addition and he’ll probably start on the bench on Saturday."

The boss is likely to reinstate Andy Coleman and revert to a back five for the clash with Beaconsfield, who are one place and one point below the Greens in the bottom three.

The Zamaretto League’s secretary Jason Mills confirmed this week only one team will be relegated at the end of the season due to Atherstone Town`s impending resignation.

"That doesn’t really help us as I believe we should be a lot higher up the table anyway," said Benjamin. "We’ve got to go out there and do it.

"We’ve only won two and lost twelve away from home, and we tend to look brittle. We’ve got to battle away from home and pick up points, and certainly not lose games in the manner we have been."
