Bird Looking for Top Five Spot

.....by the start of the New Year.

With the last two games being postponed, this weekend's game against Walton & Hersham is a chance to possibly move up into tenth in the league with a win.

"It's always a little frustrating when the games are off but there's nothing you can do about it," he said. "I think Walton will present a difficult game this Saturday and they've got a new manager there.

"I'm sure their players will be looking to make a good impression and he's a young guy coming in with new ideas. I'm sure it will be another tough examination for my players.

"If you look at the games we've got coming up now against Walton, Chipstead and Whitstable Town, I think, with all due respect to the opponents, we really need to make sure by the turn of the year that we are up and around the play-off area.

"It's a great opportunity to break into the top ten."
