Bitton chairman John Langdon said of Lester: "John has spent a lot of time in the shadows of previous managers, but was always there and an important part of the management team leading us to success in winning the Premier Division title and coming runners-up twice, all within the last four years.

"We are sure that John's experience gained both by playing and being part of the management structure, will lead the club on to further notable achievements during the coming seasons."
