Matty Williams had given the Saints a 28th minute lead, but summer signing Cortez Belle levelled on 52 minutes before Blain snatched the late winner.
There was drama at Bastion Road as Airbus UK Broughton finished the game with nine men and surrendered a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw with Prestatyn Town.
Goals from Tommy Holmes and Mike Hayes had the visitors sitting pretty, but Mike Parker pulled a goal back on 69 minutes.
Craig Whitfield was dismissed for a second yellow card was followed for an early bath in the final minute by his ex-TNS team-mate Holmes, with Seasiders' player-boss Neil Gibson levelling the scores from the resulting penalty. Sub Darren Hughes almost snatched a winner for Town, but his effort hit the crossbar.
Aberystwyth Town overcame the loss of Jonathan Evans, who was sent-off in the 22nd minute, to beat Newtown 4-1 at Park Avenue.
Ricky Evans scored from the penalty spot after 10 minute with Robbie Millington levelling from another spot-kick but a late flurry saw Lewis Codling score twice and Anthony Finselback add another for the hosts. Llanelli were quick off the mark at home to newly-promoted Afan Lido, establishing a two-goal cushion inside 8 minutes through Rhys Griffiths, the first from a penalty. Lido were down to ten-men on 26 minutes when Karl Lewis was red-carded and the Reds added further goals before the break through Ashley Evans and a Kris James own goal. Jonathan Hood netted a late consolation for Andrew Dyer's men.
