Parkes joined the Bees in the summer of 2010 from neighbours Watford. He had previously enjoyed a loan spell at Barnet as well as periods on loan at Brentford and Stevenage.
Whilst at Vicarage Road he was capped at under-18, 19 and 20 levels for England.
Farnborough manager Spencer Day said: “I have been after Jordan for the past two weeks and am delighted to have at last got him to Cherrywood Road.
“He can play in central midfield or full-back and has played over sixty times in the Football League and at 22 brings extra quality and experience to our squad at a vital stage of the season.
“The fact that it has taken some time to persuade Barnet to let us have him shows how highly they rate him.”
