....Glossop North End have announced that there will be some changes in the management of the footballing side of the organisation.
Part of the duty of the Directors of the club is to look forward and to consider the qualities required of all our volunteers to shape the future direction of the club. In this context qualities relating to communication, discipline and respect are crucial in both the football environment of today and for the future.
Leaving Glossop North End with immediate effect are first-team manager Paul Colgan and youth development officer Lol McMahon.
Colgan has been with Glossop for a season and a half and guided the club to sixth position in the table at the end of last season.
Results this season have not been as good as expected, although injuries have had a significant effect.
McMahon joined Glossop for the beginning of this season and it was anticipated that he would bring his long experience of non-League football locally to bear in helping to develop the club`s younger players through the youth and reserve teams up to the first-team. This objective has been frustrated by his increasing work commitments.
The Board have thanked both of these individuals for their commitment to the club during their time with the club and have wished them well in their future careers in football.
