.....all-Molten Spartan South Midlands League Division One tie at Crawley Green by the odd goal in five.
The visiting Blues took a 36th minute lead when Billy Healey`s pin-point cross was headed home at the far post by Malachi Brissett.
Just 2 minutes later and it was 2-0 to Hertford when Mustafa Mirzai broke through to slot the ball under the goalkeeper.
It took until the hour-mark for the hosts to respond through Sean Downey after Hertford`s defence failed to clear, and 10 minutes from time Green equalised through Vinnie Shrieves from a corner.
Hertford`s player boss Marvin Samuel crashed a header against the bar with a couple of minutes to go, but just as extra-time loomed, it was the manager who won it for his team when he kept his cool from inside the area to pick his spot and make it 3-2.
And Hertford held on, despite 5 minutes of time added on, and now tackle another league rival, Hoddesdon Town, in the next round.
