Sydenham's Football League

The Romans’ chairman elect, Geoff Ruck, confirmed the news exclusively to the County Press, stating economic reasons are behind the decision — but vowed to return as soon as it is financially viable.
Ruck confirmed he had a three-year plan to rebuild the club before returning to the Wessex League, with a focus on achieving plenty of success in the Isle of Wight League.
The move means Brading Town reserves will now become the first-team, and will be managed by Steve Lawton.
Former first-team manager Nigel Murray will remain with the club to help.
A new reserves’ side will be formed and both will play their home games at the Peter Henry Ground.
There is also the possibility of forming a new `A` side, as a development team for Colts just leaving junior football, and forming an IW Sunday League team.
