....management team of Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey.
Brookbanks spent fourteen happy and successful years at Carlton Town before taking the reins at Hucknall Town in May 2010.
Following changes at boardroom level early this season, Tommy stood down with the club occupying a play-off spot on a zero budget. However, his services were soon in demand and he accepted the managers` role at Stamford AFC, finishing the season in a very respectable seventh place.
Harvey has managerial experience in his own right with stints at Long Eaton United and Borrowash Victoria before joining up with Brookbanks at Hucknall.
The new managerial duo issued the following statement on the dawn of a new era for Quorn.
“We are delighted to arrive at Quorn - a club that in our opinion is a sleeping giant in non-League football with facilities that are second to none at this level.
“A quick walk around the ground was enough to not only convince us that this was where we wanted to be, it actually excited us about being here.
“The club behind the scenes is extremely well run, and we intend to extend that on to the playing side as well. It's testament to how great the club is, that despite a difficult season last year, when we met earlier this week with the existing players, everyone was very keen to continue at the club.
“As far as we are concerned the new season has already started, we are now working flat out to assemble our back room staff, and to bring in a couple of lads in areas we feel we need to strengthen, to compliment the players we already have at the club.
“We can't wait for the new season to arrive, and get Quorn back at the right end of the table challenging for honours. We would like to extend our thanks to the Committee for giving us the chance to work at such a great club, and hope to repay their faith with silverware at the end of the season, one thing that is certain, we won't rest until we have done so.”
