Brookbanks Leaves Stamford

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South club Stamford AFC has announced the departure of manager Tommy Brookbanks.

The club has thanked the former Hucknall Town and Carlton Town boss for his work with the Daniels last season and have wished him well for the future.

An announcement about the vacant position will be made shortly.

Brookbanks` departure follows that of his assistant-manager Gary Stones, who announced his retirement from football after a forty-year career recently.

Stones was presented with a signed ball as well as a trophy for his efforts at Stamford AFC, which also saw an end to his eight-year association with Brookbanks.
