....being released by the Latics at the end of June 2012.

Brooke spent much of 2011/12 season on loan, firstly from September 2011 at Barrow AFC, where he played six games and scored twice.

In January, 2012 he went to AFC Telford United on a season-long loan and scored on his debut against Braintree Town.

At Telford, he made a dozen appearances in all, scoring twice. He had previously made thirty Football League and FA Cup appearances for Oldham.
