Bumper Crowd Expected at the Oval

.....Division One Central play-off semi-final against Uxbridge at the Oval.

Interest in the game has been immense, and club secretary Graham Bloxham says that he has had numerous enquiries from people all over the country.

"My phone has hardly stopped ringing from directors and fans from within the league," said Bloxham. "It is difficult to estimate how many people will turn up but my advice is for our regular fans to come early."

The play-off semi-final must be played to a conclusion with extra-time and penalties coming into play if the scores remain level at the end of 90 minutes.

Uxbridge come to the Oval as the form side in the division, having emerged out of the pack to pip other clubs in the division to a play-off spot.

The west London club took four points out of six against the Greenbacks, winning 4-1 at the Oval, and a 1-1 draw on their home crowd.

Four of the five goals scored against the Greenbacks came from their ace marksman Michael Murray, the division's top scorer with thirty-four goals to his name this season.
