Carl Burley

...backroom staff by appointing former Stourport Swifts boss Richard Colwell as coach.

Colwell, who was surprisingly axed by Swifts last month before Rod Brown took over, will work alongside boss Carl Burley and number two Andy Mole at Causeway.

“We’ve been looking for a coach for eighteen months or so but it had to be the right person,” said Burley. “I’m sure we’ve got the right person in Richard.

“Everyone I spoke to all sang his praises. He is enthusiastic, he knows his football and he wanted to stay in football so it’s a good move for everybody.”

Burley is in the process of speaking to the squad which finished with the club’s most points, most wins and most goals in an Alliance season.

He expects the vast majority to stay with the Stourbridge-based club.
