Hearsey has scored three goals in two pre-season appearances for United but former club Dudley Sports, who play a level below United in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division, are also keen.

Causeway boss Carl Burley said: “Matt has fitted in quite well but I think he is a bit torn between the two of us at the moment.

“He is obviously a loyal lad and Dudley Sports gave him a chance.

“I think he knows the best football decision would be to come to us but only he has to do what he thinks is best.”
