The Blues said that their player of the season had decided to stay at Imber Court despite an offer from Carshalton Athletic.

Manager Jim Cooper said: "I am so, so pleased – Jamie is a fantastic keeper and a fantastic lad.

“It was touch and go with Carshalton as financially we couldn't compete and Jamie had a long think about things.

“He eventually called me on Friday and said he was staying and it's great news to be honest.

“We are trying to build something and you need good players to stay and Jamie is an important part of that.

“He met the chairman and put pen-to-paper and it's given us all a boost.”
