....delight with the outcome of the recent practice sessions with more than forty new players attending the two dates, and as a result of this exercise twelve of the players were invited to attend pre-season training which started this week, to see if they can fulfill the potential shown in the sessions.
Despite this new influx of players Powell's search continues with a focus on finding the right balance within the squad.
Powell said: "The new lads will fit in great with the retained squad members and most are young enthusiastic lads with Pro club backgrounds. We are, however, still in need of one or two players with experience of non-League football to compliment what we have and I am speaking with several players that fit the bill.
"We will be continuing to recruit during pre-season and for that matter throughout the new season as needs dictate. We will always be open to bringing in the right type of player and as well as working to improve the performance of existing players as we constantly try to develop the squad. We are particularly interested in experienced lads who feel they are perhaps in the fringe of squads at other non-League clubs and would encourage them to pick up the phone to me if they want to play more regularly and fancy a new challenge."
