Bostik League North club AFC Sudbury`s caretaker-manager Danny Laws has been busy after a day or so in the job and has made a couple of announcements.

Laws was pleased to say that goalkeeping coach Danny Potter will be with him in the dug-out on Saturday as the club play Chipstead in the Emirates FA Cup, stating that Potter wanted to remain with the club after the departure of the previous management team.

Leaving King’s Marsh is midfielder Jack Newman, who has been released from his contract with the club.

He has signed for Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Hadleigh United to enable him to play more football.

Newman joined AFC at the start of the 2015/16 season and won a Ryman League North championship medal at the end of it.

During last season, he had a spell on loan with Wroxham before returning to AFC this term.

He played sixty-eight games for the club, scoring 4 goals.
