The Eagles move into third place in the table while the Old Gold remain joint-bottom, but there was little to choose between the sides until midway through the second half. Luke Bowen rattled the post with a 66th minute effort and, 2 minutes later, the Eagles finally managed to break the deadlock when Lee Trundle set-up Paul Fowler to score against his former club. The result was still a major improvement for Tommy Morgan's men, who had shipped nine goals in their two previous games. Airbus UK Broughton remain the only winless side in the Welsh Premier after a goalless draw at Afan Lido. The game at the Marstons Stadium was held up for half an hour early in the first half awaiting paramedics to attend to the Wingmakers' defender Tommy Holmes, who was transferred to hospital with a suspected dislocated or broken elbow.
