Caskey Hopeful of Final Home Advantage

...advantage in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South play-off final on Saturday - despite the late disappointment at champions Grantham Town.

Caskey insists it would be wrong to write off Leek Town's chances of causing an upset by winning at Carlton Town in the other semi-final on Wednesday.

He said: "Leek have a good away record and when you get to this stage of the competition, you cannot rule out anything. It's certainly not beyond the bounds of possibility that we could still find ourselves playing at home on Saturday.

"At the end of the day, though, we don't have to worry about what Leek and Carlton are up to. It's absolutely down to what we do and we certainly cannot afford to get despondent about what happened at Grantham.

"Just imagine how Belper Town must be feeling. They've had a fantastic run to put themselves within sight of the play-offs - only to lose out to Leek on goals scored.

“At least we are in the play-offs, and we have to go out against Sheffield FC and really do ourselves justice."
