.....after watching his side slip to a narrow defeat in their latest pre-season game at Buxton on Saturday.
After the game he said: “We did well against a side in a division above us so the result didn’t really bother me.
“We will take a lot of positives from the game after working in training with our strikers. However, we had to rest Tim Grice with a neck strain and I’m a little concerned that Dan Cope is not finishing games with niggling injuries – there is no doubt he could make the position his own.
“On the plus side, Tom Urwin had his best game for us and Danny Roberts did well to keep us in the game late on”, he added.
Casswell is still looking to add another defender to his squad prior to the big kick-off in just under a fortnight's time and took another look at former Port Vale reserve player Andy Bratt, who was with Newcastle Town last season.
Another triallist defender, George Melling, who lined up against Vale last Wednesday, was unavailable.
