Celtic Add Five to Squad
Andy Ralph

Ralph joins Celtic from New Zealand side Waitakere United and will be in the squad for Celtic's opener at Workington on Saturday, subject to international clearance being obtained. Ralph came through the academy set-up at Everton before making the move to Tranmere Rovers.

He should have progressed to the first-team at Prenton Park, but with a change of management he was released and joined Kidsgrove Athletic at the end of the 2001/02 season, but wasn't there long before joining Vauxhall Motors.

After a spell with Northwich Victoria, Ralph moved across Cheshire to Altrincham where he made seven appearances and kept six clean sheets.

In 2009 he moved to Australia and played in their first division and then sailed south to join Waitakere United in New Zealand. He had a previous loan spell with Stalybridge in 2004.

Celtic have announced a further four signings as Jim Harvey beefs up his squad for the 2012/13 season.

Defenders Sam Edgerton and Jonathan Lindsay have signed on the dotted line alongside midfielders Jordan Barrow and Corey Gregory.

Edgerton was formerly at Lancaster City, while Lindsey joins from Scottish Division One side Partick Thistle.

Barrow arrives at Celtic having been with the Everton Academy, while Gregory's last club was Sheffield United.
